Agent Friends, Unite

Although it was eXp that united us as a community, many of us met while we were just starting to build businesses. Earlier in our real estate careers, we discovered that we were all managing to grow our respective organizations by bucking a lot of outdated industry wisdom.

But there were few resources to help us refine our less conventional methods at the time, especially when it came to organization-building.

So we supported each other instead, sharing our triumphs and failures, insights and blindspots. If nothing else, we knew that we would all find more success by exchanging ideas than by competing with one another.

The Content Overload Problem

Of course, yesterday’s “innovative thinking” is today’s mainstream approach. Technology has reshaped the industry so much that most agents now find themselves constantly trying out new ways to stay competitive and keep business coming in. And the global pandemic has only underscored the importance of staying on the pulse in a perpetually shifting market.

With the rise in real estate tech, there has also been an explosion of online educational content. The lack of forward-thinking resources and ultra-relevant training guides that we faced a decade ago is certainly not the case today. Rather, there is so much available content that it’s nearly impossible to sift through the noise. And the problem is not only that most of the information out there is conflicting, patchy, and non-specific — it’s that the best nuggets of wisdom are almost always presented in isolation, without the practical training agents need to be able to put that wisdom into action.

Towards Exceptional Agent Education

This is what The Agent Collective set out to change. And not just for our growing team, but for all agents everywhere. So further inspired by eXp’s emphasis on community and collaboration, we decided to work together to start building a comprehensive library of trainings that were actually focused, successive, action-oriented, engaging, and still ran the gamut of agent education topics.

We felt it important to keep much of our content available to all, since so many of us are lacking the support and strategic resources that drive successful real estate careers.

Our solution became a free platform offering structured training content in its most compelling, relatable, and digestible form: video. As the public face of The Agent Collective itself, the platform features content produced by our internal Agent Collective Media Network, as well as content created by high-producing agents outside eXp who have joined us to share in our spirit of collaboration.
We believe that happier, more prosperous agents will benefit the whole industry — professionals and clients alike.

The Agent Collective is a group of agents at eXp Realty, a cloud-based brokerage and one of the fastest-growing real estate companies worldwide. However, you don’t need to be an eXp agent to get real value and game-changing pointers out of the shows and training content you’ll find here. Our creators are all top agents and coaches who have proven themselves as seasoned, savvy, and influential experts. Some contributors aren’t even eXp agents themselves — they have simply offered to share their content here in the interest of collaboration over competition.

eXp has been taking the world by storm with unprecedented speed. It launched in 2009 as a paradigm-shifting approach to the traditional brick-and-mortar brokerage, instead leveraging the power of the cloud as a virtual office and putting up to 100% of commissions back in the hands of the agents. And it didn’t stop there.

In an effort to become even more agent-centric, eXp created a revenue sharing system based on the sales of the agents they sponsor into the company, as well as agent equity opportunities. Since it operates from a cloud campus, eXp also allows agents total work flexibility, which makes for the ideal environment for collaboration among agents and shared learning in live training virtual classrooms.

To become a member, you would need to be sponsored into eXp by an agent who is already a member of the Agent Collective team. This would connect you to every member in our organization and give you access to the suite of tools, expert training and education, and financial benefits that eXp provides all its agents.

While some content is publicly available, the majority of our catalog of trainings is kept exclusively for our Agent Collective members. We also have some higher level in-depth courses that are available at no extra charge for our Agent Collective members.

Nope and nope. Our website is free and always will be, just like membership. While membership is exclusive to eXp agents on our team, we keep much of this platform public and free for agents everywhere. We believe that less adversarial thinking in real estate would advance the success and well-being of all agents, and therefore the industry at large.

We don’t have an affiliate program either. This allows us to reduce our own bias in choosing the content we present and the creators we feature. Instead, we look at the actual results of business strategies, products, technologies, and processes in determining what to share and which creators teach the best of what’s working in the industry today.
